A WORKING RANCH
The JRL is a working cattle ranch owned and operated by the Lozano, Larson and Ensley families. All cattle herding, handling and branding are done “a horseback.” We follow the humane and gentle animal handling practices traditional of the California Vaquero. Our cattle raising philosophy results in excellent maternal and herd instincts that result in cattle that exhibit the highest standard of health.
Our herd of Black Angus/Wagyu cross cattle are fed and finished with the finest grasses the southern Oregon Cascades have to offer, and drink pure water from spring-fed streams. Animals raised naturally translate to premium-quality, delicious beef that is low in fat, high in iron and vital nutrients, and devoid of contaminants commonly found in American mainstream-produced beef. We offer a direct-to-consumer purchase program that eliminates several supply chain steps, reducing costs and ensuring the highest quality beef is delivered directly to customers. We don’t sell beef that we wouldn’t put on our own dinner table.
